My date with a handsome man, good conversation and a lovely meal.

If you have diet restrictions like I do going out to eat can be an unpleasant and tasking experience. Whether it's the lack of options, or fear of ending up feeling ill, it can take the pleasure out of having someone cook a meal for you. Before we go out I always check the menu to see if there are options that I can have and alert my server first thing upon arrival.  I have a couple of local resturants that I love and know I'm always "safe" dining with.  I'll put links to them below if you live in the Rochester Ny area you should give them a try.

Recently my husband and I enjoyed a nice dinner at Cure located in the Rochester Public Market. Our experience was , as always, charming.

My husband enjoyed a cocktail from the Revival week menu, bourbon, grapefruit juice and a Pomogranite liquor called "The Blinker". Isn't it pretty?!

We shared the "MONTFERMEIL SALAD" that had Salsify, Artichokes, Potatos, Gribiche Vinaigrette & Parsley. It was amazing. The flavors and textures were well balanced and it was very pleasing to the eye, so much so that I took a picture to share with you.
( Even the Olive oil was happy to be in this salad..)

By the time we were finished with our meal the candles were shining a little brighter, the room was filled with laughter and people discussing the dishes they were sharing. Each person that worked there was happy and showing pride in their part of the inter workings of this little gem of a resturant where creativity and community are thick in the air.

( Oh, and I didn't have to cook, do the dishes or tell my five year old not to wipe her food on her sleeve!  Extra bonus!)

Just a couple of my favorite places to dine out in Rochester:
